Arthur Lefevre, Jr. (1890-1968) was an industrial publications editor for Texaco. One of three children, he was the son of Adela Beale Yerby (1864-1940) and Arthur Lefevre, Sr. (1863-1928), an educator, school superintendent, and editor of the Texaco Star . After several aborted attempts to form a state press association in 1853, 1869, and 1873, 77 Texas newspaper publishers organized the Texas Press Association at Houston in 1880. J. W.
